Gurpreet Is Dissapointed At House Pricing

Right where do I start ?

We’ve been looking to move out of our current area believe it or not for up to nearly 8 years. Within those 8 years we haven’t found any property that matches our requirements, even after viewing them.

…Today we had an appointment to view a property, in a brilliant area just on the border line of Southampton and Chandeler’s Ford, a quiet little place called Valley Park.

The property seemed spacious but in fact once we viewed it from inside we were quite disappointed.

Well the first positive aspect we saw was the extreme silence and peacefulness the area offered as soon as we entered. Newly built houses with no one lurking around on the roads. Was exceptional, something that we were looking for. So that gave us a little boost of hope. The houses were all merged quite close together but were all detached. We kind of lost ourselves by going in circles (haha, was quite funny actually), until we saw the estate agent coming out of his car and waving at us. (:D sigh of relief, as we were already 5 minutes late).

I parked up the car just infront of the estate agent and found out that the house was actually around a corner which we failed to spot. (Another positive aspect, the house was by itself so there was the benefit of privacy :D)

Well the outside of the property looked amazing, new bricks, double garage, spacious driveway, permission to extend the house was agreed too. Looking from the outside of the property it looked promising. But like they say “never judge a book by it’s cover”, it was something similar to that once we viewed the interior layout.

The hallway, kitchen, 2 bedrooms and the garden were quite spacious to be fair, but the lounge room wasn’t as expected. Neither was the study room or the further two bedrooms of the house (they were TINY - barely could move around in them), so viewing them really dissapointed me and my parents :(.

…AND I personally beleive that the price of the whole property was NOT worth it. £425,000 (ERM, I DONT THINK SO).
